Are you hoping to immigrate to this Canadian city? Something awful is happening
Over the past few years, one Canadian city in particular has proven to be a golden opportunity for international candidates who want to immigrate to Canada. Right now, a terrible situation has put all of that on hold.
If you are seriously thinking about finding a job and immigrating to Canada you have no doubt heard of Fort McMurray Alberta. For many years, Fort McMurray, which is also known as Wood Buffalo, has been at the epicenter of the oil boom and as such Canadian skilled immigration. In fact, you may be in the process of interviewing for a job or have friends or family living in Fort McMurray.
Even with the recent downturn in the Canadian oil patch, Fort McMurray has still been providing numerous immigration opportunities for workers such as tradespersons, chefs and food service managers. Unfortunately, a terrible fire has forced the entire city to be evacuated. Additionally, many homes and buildings have been destroyed. Eventually, Fort McMurray will rebound and workers both domestic and foreign in large numbers will be required to rebuild the city and revitalize oil production. It would be wise to keep an eye out for that rebuild, but in the meantime, we can all be thankful that even with the horrible damage it appears that everyone living in Fort McMurray appears to be safe and sound.
